Missy Carter joined MSU Internal Audit as the Audit Coordinator in May 2025. With a background marked by organizational excellence and dependability, Missy brings significant experience in record keeping, data management, report creation, and business support.
Before joining MSU Internal Audit, Missy served as an Assistant Preschool Teacher at the T.K. Martin Center at Mississippi State University, where she assisted in creating educational programs and ensuring a safe and engaging environment for children. Prior to that, she was the Front Desk Receptionist at Vitality Dermatology and Aesthetic Center, managing client relations, appointment scheduling, and financial transactions. Missy has also held roles such as Office Manager at Reclaimed Project, coordinating fundraising and operational management, and Community Fundraiser with Star March of Dimes, successfully leading campaigns that exceeded fundraising goals.
Missy earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Mississippi State University in 1999.
